California State Horsemen's Assoc. Region 5 TRAP and Trails programs
are hosting the TnT Weekend at Bort Meadow in the Oakland Hills of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Join us for a stress-free weekend of riding and camping in COOL & beautiful Redwood Park.

Ride at your leasure or just hang out! Non-riders welcome!

Your tax deductable donation of $75/adult, $50/junior, or NEW! $200/group (2 adults & jrs) includes:
Camping Fees, 3 Meals Saturday, 2 Meals Sunday, Saturday Night Social
and Nightly Entertainment!

Ride promotes the TRAP and Trails programs.

Region 5 offers you an opportunity to stay overnight and ride these beautiful parks. Bort Meadow is a large meadow located in the middle of Redwood and Anthony Chabot Regional Parks in the Oakland Hills.

Riding is suitable for everyone - leasurely rides along the shoreline and valley, ride the hills and enjoy the views of the lake and Bay Area, or ride among the redwoods.

Commemorative Caps will be available for purchase at the ride!

Directions to Borte Meadow

Accommodations:

  • Arrival/Departure Times:
    Arrive after 4:00 p.m. Friday or anytime Saturday and must depart by 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
  • There are no corrals or high ties and tying to trees or fences is not permitted. Bring portable or electric corral or trailer high-tie. You can also run a line over two trailers to create a high-line to tie to between them.
  • Minimal shade so bring a canopy.
  • No showers. You may want to bring a solar shower bag. Many folks use them in their trailers.
  • Water is available.
  • Hay is NOT provided you will need to bring your own.
  • You will need to clean up, bag, and remove your manure so bring a shovel or manure fork (bags will be provided).
  • Dogs are welcome in this park as long as they are well behaved, minimal barking, and under control AT ALL TIMES! Please keep your dog leashed while in camp. If your dog becomes a problem you will be asked to leave with no refund. Please pick up after your dog while in camp!

Meals:

  • Three meals will be provided on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
  • You must bring your own food, cooking items, eating utensils and stove/grill for meals not included.
  • Due to the high fire danger, cooking is only permitted in the picnic areas, not at your trailers.
    There are two large picnic areas in the meadow with tables and barbecues.
  • Bring charcoal if cooking on a grill, outside wood is not permitted.
  • Although water is available, recommend you bring plenty of drinking water.
  • Alcohol is not permitted.

      Reservations received by July 1st:
    • $75.00 per adult
    • $50.00 per junior 17 & under
    • Groups of 2 adults & 2 juniors $200

      Reservations received after July 1st:

    • $85.00 per adult
    • $60.00 per junior 17 & under
    • Groups $240.00

    Cancellations after July 14th subject to 50% charge.
    No refunds after July 20th.
    All mailed reservations must be RECEIVED by July 20th.

  • The gate is locked and we need to provide campers with the combination beforehand.
