Interests:
I've been riding since I was 4 years old. I spent many summers working as a trail guide at a stable in Poway, CA, where I developed an appreciation for all breeds of horses. I started showing dressage in high school, which strongly influenced my training and riding style. Rode, vaulted on, and trained Arabians at Cal Poly Pomona, studied dressage at Stonebridge Farm in Temecula, started cutting horses at the BJ Ranch in Chino, showed dressage for many years, and now I'm enjoying trail trials and trail competitions on my Clydesdale.

When I'm not riding, I'm with my family. I've been married to Doug since 1988 (blame him for the 14 letter last name, that I did not even once consider hyphenating), and have a son and daughter who keep me very busy between school, baseball, soccer, swimming, basketball, fencing, and camping.

I enjoy painting (horses), reading, baking cookies, writing prose and poetry, and eating chocolate.
